"A huge thank you to Sweet Charity Choir - Dorset Branch who raised a fantastic £1,725.19 for us during their debut performance at St James Road Methodist church at the end of June.

The Choir have also been collecting donations of goods for those who are experiencing homelessness for the last 6 months and our projects and service users have been overwhelmed by the amount of toiletries, water bottles, books, DVDs, tinned food, bedding and clothing - 12 huge boxes and several sacks full of goods."

St Laurence church hall, Southend.

Sweet Charity Choir raised over £1,500 for HARP at a sold-out concert last month. Led by creative and passionate choir mistress Jenny Deacon, the choir performed with heart and soul and have already raised in excess of £5,000 for various charities this year.

HARP’s Community Fundraiser, Lisa, was invited to join them for the evening and said "When times are hard for the people we are supporting, news that local people are working so hard to raise money to help them find a better future can make an enormous difference. What a wonderful venture and a wonderful leader. We cannot thank Jenny and her choir enough!”
